Annie Doris Johnson

Annie Doris Johnson, 94, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Pampa, went home to be with the Lord at her residence on February 13, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 22, 2019, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. Ruby Moultrie, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pampa, officiating.  Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Beloved by her family and close friends, Annie was born June 17, 1924 in Longview. She led a long life in full service to our Lord and Savior. She faithfully served as a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Pampa for 43 years in excellent standing, along with her husband, Henry Johnson. Annie was a teacher of God’s word of the Sunday school adult class and the Women’s Missionary Society, all for the empowerment of the word and church activities. Annie moved to Columbus in 2005 with the support of both her loving son and grandson. She immediately continued her path of salvation with loving and welcoming arms of Love Zion Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her son, Maurice Johnson; her grandson Austin Johnson; along with many other relatives, friends and fellow neighbors. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee McKnight; her mother, Ardesia McCoy; and her husband, Henry Johnson.
