Shelly was born on April 13, 1985, in Morton, Texas to Julia Hermosillo and Mario Miranda, Sr. Her family moved to Elkhart, Kansas when she was very young, and then to Pampa in 2002. She finished high school in 2004 when she obtained her GED. Following high school, Shelly began working as a debt collector at UMC Health Care Services. A few years later, she became a secretary for the Halliburton office in Pampa. Next, she was employed at Titan/Hunting for ten years, working in sales.

In 2010, Shelly met the love of her life, Jorge Aguilar. They married on April 14, 2012, and spent 13 wonderful years together. Their lovely daughter, Vianey, was born on November 28, 2017, and was the light of her life. She loved being a housewife and was happiest when she was with her family and her dog, Nora.

Shelly was a caring person that wanted to be a help to everyone. Every morning at 8 AM, Shelly would call her parents to check in with them to make sure they were okay. Shelly was known to tease her family and give everyone a hard time or assigning different nicknames. She loved to sing karaoke with her sister, Erica, their go to song being “Honey, I’m Home” by Shania Twain.

Shelly was a fighter, giving everything her all, up until the very end. She attended More Church in Amarillo every Sunday with her family. She was a strong, Christian woman and was a great example to those around her. Shelly was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Shelly was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and by her father-in-law, Jorge Aguilar, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Jorge Aguilar of the home; daughter, Vianey Aguilar of the home; her parents, Julia and Mario Miranda, Sr. of Chihuahua, Mexico; two brothers, Ricky Miranda and wife Josie (JKBM) of Arkoma, Oklahoma, and Mario Miranda, Jr. and wife Tabitha of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; sister, Erica Guzman and husband Ivan of Pampa; 16 nieces and nephews, Justin, Jazmin, Austin, Alexis, Gabby, Mariana, Adan, Andrea, Julia, Araceli, Isaac, Naomi, Sofia, Malachi, EmberLynn, and Lydia; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
