Bo was born February 27, 1933 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Alice and James Bohannon. He spent his early years in Kansas attending school, but as a teenager he moved to Plymouth, Indiana where he graduated high school. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving on the USS Wisconsin during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he began his journey in the construction business where he traveled extensively, and eventually moved to White Deer where he met the love of his life, Cecilia Lopez. They wed on June 7, 1958 in White Deer.
Bo was a longtime White Deer resident, working for Williams Brothers, K & K, and later worked for Cabot, retiring after 25 years of service. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he participated in the choir, served on the building committee and volunteered with the cemetery. He was a hard worker who always found something to do, and after retirement, continued to find small jobs to keep himself busy. When he wasn’t working, Bo liked to be in the outdoors, working in his yard and garden and hunting and fishing. What brought him the most joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, granddad, great granddad, and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Bohannon of the home; two daughters, Connie Maxwell and husband James of Bushland, and Angeline Bohannon of White Deer; a son, Lloyd Bohannon and wife Dianna of Wellington; four granddaughters, Ara Cousins and husband Jason of Wilderado, Brittni Poe and husband Jerrod of Childress, Bryanna Bohannon and Isabella Bohannon, both of Wellington; three grandsons, Bo Bryant Bohannon of Wellington, Alabama Bohannon and Sonny Bohannon, both of Canyon; four great-grandchildren, Kyliegh Cousins, Kendell Cousins, Amelia Cousins and Landon Cousins; and a sister, Betty Valverde.
