Austin Burton

Austin Burton, 19, of Pampa, died October 21, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rick Pearson, and Rev. Paul Beam, Calvary Baptist Church pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Austin was born October 2, 1998 in Corpus Christi, and had been a resident of Pampa since 2001. He was a 2017 graduate of Pampa High School where he played football. He loved playing basketball, listening to music, watching sports in general, hanging out with his friends, and being a typical teenager. Austin was a big people person and hardly knew anyone who wasn’t a friend. He brought daily laughter and love to those around him. He always had a smile on his face, and was the light of the room everywhere he went. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Austin grew up attending First Baptist Church. Survivors include his mom, Melissa Palacios and husband Jose of Pampa; his dad, Kevin Burton of Tennessee Colony, Texas; his former stepdad, Trent Magers of Denison; paternal grandmother, Christine Moman of Pampa; maternal grandparents, Brent and Gail Dabbs of Pampa; paternal great grandmother, Clessie Ferris of Pampa; maternal great grandparents, Karen Kerns and Dave Kerns of Pampa; 3 sisters, Breana Burton, Katlyn Magers and Abby Magers, all of Pampa; 3 stepbrothers, Cameron Magers of Denison, Anthony Paz of Dallas, and Damon Palacios of Tucumcari, New Mexico; a stepsister, Serina Palacios of Pampa; 2 aunts, Kristi Dabbs of Pampa, and Misty Powell and husband Jason of Perkins, Oklahoma; 2 uncles, Dean Moman of Pampa, and Danny Moman of San Antonio; and many cousins.
