Barbara Lorraine DeMoss

Barbara L. DeMoss, 87, of Pampa, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at home.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with, Rev. Vondel Stevens, pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. DeMoss was born July 30, 1933 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Simeon and Barbara Scruggs. Barbara married James DeMoss on November 11, 1951 in San Diego. He passed away on December 31, 2017. Barbara lived in San Diego for 30 years, spent 7 years in Grand Junction, Colorado. She moved to Pampa in 2001. Barbara was a longtime volunteer at Skyline Wesleyan Methodist Church in Lemon Grove, California and the visitor's bureau in Grand Junction, Colorado. Barbara loved animals, especially her rescue dog Milly. She was a Methodist and homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Denise Carter of Corpus Christi; a son, Mark DeMoss of Grand Junction Colorado; a brother, Warren Scruggs of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren.
