Barbara Jean Cobb Lemke

Barbara Jean Cobb Lemke, 88, of Pampa, passed away June 21, 2018 in Amarillo.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 25, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Michael Erickson, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Lemke was born May 27, 1930 in Gray County to Arthur T. and Helen Cobb. She was a lifelong resident of the Texas Panhandle and was a 1950 graduate of Lefors High School. She married Robert “Bob” Lemke on June 19, 1951 in Lefors. Barbara and Bob loved to travel together. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2001.

Barbara owned a ceramic shop in Pampa for many years. She loved to work with ceramics and she enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Barbara loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include three sons, Daniel Lemke and wife Socie of Copper Canyon, Gary Lemke and wife Dianna of Perryton, and Joe Lemke and wife Theresa of Dayton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Cobb; and a sister, Margaret Tidmore.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
