Barbara Ann Shaw, 82, went to be with Jesus on Monday, July 5, 2021 in North Richland Hills, Texas after a wonderful life shared with her husband, family, and friends.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 12, 2021 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Barbara was born August 27, 1938 in Wheeler graduating from Pampa High School in 1956. She remained an active Pampa High School alumni, she was getting ready for her 65th year class reunion when she passed. She was married to Vinson Shaw from 1956 to when he passed away in 2017. Barbara carried on his life and legacy with family and friends after his death. He remained her greatest love even after he was gone, and we know she is happy to be with Jesus and Vinson now. Barbara worked as a quilter during her life and always spoke fondly of the memories of her work. She moved with Vinson across country while he worked as a pipeline welder for many years as she maintained her home for her children and spent time with those she loved. Barbara enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout her life. She had many passions and was a lover of the Texas Rangers baseball team, Longhorn’s football, and any other sports game she could watch. She loved cooking and was the winner of TPN’s Recipe Book contest one year. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa.
Barbara is survived by her daughters; Treasa Heuston of Pampa and Anita Tinney and her husband Stan of North Richland Hills; grandchildren; Daniel Heuston and wife Meagan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bailie Hillman and husband Brady of Azle, Amanda Naugher and husband Collin of Fort Worth, Rachel Roberts and husband Kellan of Canyon, and Michael and Curtis Lewis of North Richland Hills; and many wonderful young great-grandchildren; along with two sisters, Mary Jo Skelton and husband Don of Rogue River, Oregon and Jdelle Conklin and husband Clayton of Granbury; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa TX 79065.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 PM on Sunday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
