Barry was born May 3, 1981 in Pampa, the first-born son of Max and Melissa Button Wilson. He was reared in Pampa, attending Pampa schools with a year or so spent in Early, Texas with his grandparents, Bill and Gayle Moore. Barry left home at the age of 17 to strike out and make his fortune, later attending Texas State Technical College in Brownwood. He often claimed he had a Ph.D. from the school of hard knocks.

Barry’s career began in 2000, working many years in the telecommunications field in various positions. His resume states he was a project manager at self! He traveled far and wide over the years, but always came back to Pampa. Barry made friends wherever he went and had many varied interests. Anyone who knew him well, knew he liked fast cars, charming the ladies, movies, music, honkey-tonking and gambling. He loved his mama, but the greatest joy of his life was his daughter Paige.

B J was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For a time, he was a dedicated member of the Pampa Moose Lodge #1385, and firmly believed in living life fully!

Survivors include his daughter, Paige Elizabeth Wilson of Skellytown; his mother, Melissa Clark and husband Tom of Pampa; his father, Max Wilson of Pampa; two brothers, Zachary Wilson and Joseph Wilson, both of Pampa; three stepsisters, Corinne Bach and husband Jack of Dixon, Tennessee, Penni Granat and husband Jerry of Amarillo, and Pamela Johnson and husband Jim of Plano; a stepbrother, Steven Clark and wife Shanna of Laverne, Oklahoma; five aunts, Virginia “Veegee” Moore of Houston, Laurel Mitchell and husband Tedd of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Kathleen Maier and husband George of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Dawn Wilson of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Patty Nichols of San Antonio; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Barry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Gayle Moore; maternal grandparents, Calvin and Berchie Button; and an uncle, Lee Button.
