Benny Martinez

Benny Martinez, 52, of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in Pampa.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Jeremy Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Benny was born October 12, 1969 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His family moved to Pampa in 1979 where he attended Pampa Middle School and Pampa High School. In 1986, Benny and Alice started their family in Pampa where he dedicated his life to being a caring and loving father to his children. He spent most of his career as a talented welder and later a pipefitter. Benny loved watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR. His children will remember him as a loving son, father, grandfather “Papa”, and friend. Benny was a good-hearted man that would help and do anything for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Joe Frank Garcia.

Survivors include his mother, Dora Bustamante and husband Nick of Pampa; daughter, Ashley Nicole Martinez of Lubbock; 2 sons, Benny Martinez of Amarillo and Jeremy Martinez and wife Amber of Pampa; 2 brothers, Adrian Martinez and wife Natalia of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Mark Martinez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 4 grandsons, Ethan Martinez, Ayden Martinez, Kaleb Steadman, and Aaron Martinez all of Pampa; a granddaughter, Braelyn Rodriguez of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be sent Iglesia Nueva Vida Church, 1200 S. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
