Betty Jack, 92, of Pampa, passed away January 30, 2019 in Pampa.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Jay Parr, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Betty was born June 23, 1926 in Canyon to Blanche and Miron Jenkins. As a young girl her family moved to Pampa where she attended and graduated school. She later met and married Bill Jack on April 28, 1947 in Garden City, Kansas, and they proudly welcomed their only child, Weldon Jack, on July 7, 1954. Bill preceded her in death on November 7, 1978. Betty worked in the home furnishing business for many years working for White’s Home and Auto, Graham Furniture, and Texas Furniture. Betty’s passion in life was loving her family well. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, and touched the hearts of many. She was fun, witty, and adventurous. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Emmett Jenkins; a sister, Viola Bullard; and nieces, Kathryn Smith and Doris Ann Walker.
Betty is survived by her son, Weldon Jack and wife Lori of Canadian; three grandchildren, Nichole Jack Johnson and husband Tyler of Killeen, Grayson Jack of Lubbock, and Millicent Bryant of Los Angeles, California; three great-grandchildren, Ella, Camilla, and Samson; five nieces, Mary Parr of Ponder, Patti Weatherall and husband Tommy of Canton, Martha Butler and husband Ken of Wheeler, Quannah Smith and husband Monty of Miami, and Georgia Aufleger and husband Johnny of Pampa; three nephews, Bill Bullard and wife Becky of Denton, Rick Bullard and wife Debbie of Pampa, and Gary Jenkins and wife Donna of Hardin; and other extended family. She was loved by each and every one of them.
