Betty Jo Majors

Betty Jo Majors, 93, of Pampa, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Celina.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 10, 2018, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Betty was born on Oct 2, 1925 in Paducah.  She moved to a farm north of Pampa in the early 1940’s where she farmed and raised her three children, Judy Johnson, Janis Saunders, and Tommy Bird.  They all preceded her in death.   She was also a beautician and worked for the Pampa Independent School District. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, dancing, traveling, and fishing at the lake.  She was a member of the Red Hats and First Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by three grandsons, Jason Johnson and his wife Tina of Sherman, Justin Johnson and his wife Alicia of The Woodlands, and Josh Johnson and his wife Becky of Little Elm; one granddaughter, Julie Cummings and her husband Cory of Andrews; and 11 great grandchildren.
