Betty Lou Sargent, 81, of Emory, formerly of Pampa, went home to be with our Lord on October 29, 2020 at her home in Emory.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Betty's funeral will be livestreamed at www.carmichael-whatley.com/page/live-streaming.
Mrs. Sargent was born on November 14, 1938 in Pampa to William “Boots” and Ruby Fleming. Betty married Oscar Sargent on March 26, 1956 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2019. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and dedicated her life to taking care of her loved ones. Betty was an image of strength and unwavering courage.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Adams and husband Reggie of Emory; her son, Michael Sargent and wife Patricia of Ringgold, Georgia; a brother, Jimmy Fleming of Pampa; and two sisters, Johnnie Hazle of Saginaw and Von Weinegeart of Kingston, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Billy, Allen, Teri, Amanda, TJ, Alicia, Chris, Chad, and Michael; 30 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.
