Billie Jo Huff Bruner

Billie Jo Huff Bruner, 87, formerly of Pampa passed away on December 4, 2020 in Levelland.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Ruby Moultrie officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Billie Bruner was born March 13, 1933 to Coleman H. Huff and Sallie Burleigh Huff in Panhandle. She was the youngest of five children. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1951 and attended McMurry University in Abilene where she was a member of the social club TIP.  She married Robert S. Bruner on September 9, 1955 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death in 1979. They had two children, Denver and Kelly. In 1965 she became a civil service employee of the Social Security Administration and retired after 25 years of service as a GS-10 Claims Representative. After retiring from SSA she opened her dress store, Billie’s Boutique.

Billie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pampa and where she sang in the choir. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Altrusa Club, Pampa Community Concert and Pampa Knife and Fork Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kelly Bruner Fisher, her brother Frank (Son) Huff and her sisters, Bib Langley, Joy Daniels, and Susie Spoonemore.

She is survived by her son, Denver Bruner and wife Diana of Levelland; grandchildren, Robert Paul Bruner and wife Aline, Valarie Lashaway and husband Jake, Coleman Jack Bruner and wife Heather and Austin Bruner; great grandchildren, Allysia Bruner, Elizabeth Bruner, Walker Wright, Cooper Bruner, Ricky Lashaway, Benicio Bruner and Valentino Bruner; her brother-in-law, Hugh B. Daniels; and sister-in-law, Helen Bruner Melton.
