Billie Rodriguez

Billie Rodriguez, 54, of Pampa, passed away on January 20, 2024, at home with her family by her side.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery of Pampa with Pastor Victor Rodriguez of Liberty Worship Center of Borger, officiating. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. 

Billie was born on May 13, 1969, in Canadian to Howard and Shirley Carpenter. As a young girl her family moved to Pampa where she grew up and attended school. She later met Martin Rodriguez and they married in 1984, sharing 40 years together and raising their three children and watching their five grandchildren grow up before her passing. 

While the children were young, Billie spent her time caring for them and her husband. After the children were raised, she started accompanying her husband Martin with his job, and they spent many hours together and eventually years seeing the country on his commercial trucking journeys. Billie was a family first woman and her whole life was centered on her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Shirley Carpenter; a brother, Thomas Carpenter; and a nephew, Carlos Soliz.

Billie is survived by her husband, Martin Rodriguez of the home; two daughters, Ashley Reyes and husband Tomas of Rome, GA, and Christina Zarate and husband Raul of Pampa; a son, Joshua Rodriguez of Pampa; five grandchildren, Natalie Reyes, Dahlia Reyes, Myla Zarate, Nathaniel Reyes, and Noah Reyes; three sisters, Kandy Soliz of Omaha, NE, Angie Santacruz, and Mary Casanova, both of Oklahoma City, OK; and other extended family.
