Billy C. Shaw

Billy C. Shaw, 69, of White Deer, passed away on February 5, 2024, at home with his family by his side. 

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the White Deer Cemetery with Pastor Joe Tindall, an associate pastor at the Loft Church of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 -6:30 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Billy was born on June 24, 1954, in Muleshoe to John and Thelma Shaw. As a young boy his family lived in a few different panhandle towns before settling in White Deer. After high school, he joined the workforce and entered the plumbing business. A career that spanned over 30 years that included working in Amarillo and in Pampa at Larry Baker Plumbing. Billy would meet Diana Clifton and they married in 1974 and raised three daughters before his passing.

Billy liked working on old cars and working with dad. He also found enjoyment traveling in RV to see new places, especially when he and Diana could be in Fun Valley, Colorado. He was an ornery and stubborn man, but he loved his family greatly. Billy will be missed by all those who love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gail, Billie Ruth, Terry, and Ruthie; brothers, Ronnie and Tommy; an by an aunt, Sadie.

Billy is survived by his wife, Diana Shaw of the home; daughters, Christy Brown and husband Brandon of Amarillo, Mistye Mahannah and husband Jesse of Panhandle, and Tricy McCormick and husband Trey of Hobbs, NM; grandchildren, Blake Brown, Rachel Southerland, Brent McCormick, Madison McCormick, and Trenten Mahannah; six greatgrandchildren; sisters, Kay Shaw, Sheryl Huckins and husband Steve, all of Skellytown; nephews, Shorty Sims, Lonnie Hillhouse; nieces, Julie Hillhouse and Amanda Hillhouse; an uncle, “Wimpy” Vernon Shaw of Morton; and by numerous cousins, and others extended family
