Billy Lewis Fields

Billy Lewis Fields, 88, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday. March 27, 2025 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2025 with Pastor Kris Humphry, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church in Pampa, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Billy was born December 3, 1936 in Camargo, Oklahoma to Donald and Sudie Fields. He attended schools in Pampa and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served faithfully from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1962. Billy worked for the City of Pampa retiring after 30 years of service. Over the years, he worked with different departments in the city until he retired.

Billy married Sherilyn “Sheril” Mains on July 11, 1978 in Raton, New Mexico. They celebrated over 40 years of marriage before she passed away on December 10, 2018. Billy was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and also enjoyed watching major league baseball.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Sam Fields.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kelly Barton and husband Jimmy of Miami and Paula McGrath of Pampa; three grandchildren, Colton Barton and wife Kendra and Kadin Barton and wife Lyndi all of Pampa, and Kelbi Keahey and husband Jon of Erick, Oklahoma; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous cousins and extended family.
