Billy Ray "Bill" Harvill

Billy Ray “Bill” Harvill, 80, of Pampa, passed away at home in Pampa on August 5, 2018.

Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Harvill was born on June 6, 1938 to Bertha and Ila Harvill in Oklahoma where he was raised and attended school in Oklahoma. He worked in law enforcement as a Texas DPS officer and later entered the oil & gas industry, eventually settling in Pampa in the early 1970’s. When he retired Bill moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma to enjoy his retirement. In 2013 he moved back to Pampa to be closer to family. He loved to fish and he also loved playing pool with sons and family and was considered an excellent pool player. Bill will be missed by his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; by a brother, Richard “Bo” Harvill; and by his two sisters, Margaret Kelley and Hellen Russell.

Survivors include his two sons, Darrell Harvill and spouse Catherine Radziejewski of Amarillo and Ronnie Harvill and wife Cheryl of Pampa; by two granddaughters, Lindsey Harvill of San Diego, California and Ashley Harvill of Corpus Christi; by four grandsons, Mathew Harvill, Mark Pollock and wife Marisa, Adam Pollock and wife Deana, and Drew Pollock all of Pampa; by his six great-grandchildren, and other extended family.

Bill will be available for viewing from 1:00-5:00PM, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
