Bradley "Scooter" Garner Ritchie

January 16, 1991 — August 24, 2022

Bradley Garner Ritchie, better known as Scooter, was taken too soon on August 24, 2022.

A celebration of Scooter’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Scooter was born on January 16, 1991 in Petersburg, West Virginia to two parents who adored him, his father Bill and his mother Shirley. Growing up Scooter moved around a bit but was never more than two steps behind his dad, from running their own dairy farm to all night hunts. Scooter eventually found his way to Pampa where he met the woman, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Sarah Young. Sarah and Scooter spent the next eight years traveling with Jomax Pipeline Construction. There Scooter met some of his best friends and people he was proud to call family. When Scooter wasn’t working, you could find him outside riding ATVs, fishing, and hunting with his wife and two daughters. He also loved to travel and explore with his family.

Scooter was a loving and devoted husband to Sarah and father to Kayleighia and Fiah. He was a hard-working man with the biggest heart of gold. Scooter was always the life of the party. You couldn’t be around him without laughing at something hilarious he had said or done. Anyone who met him knew there would never be a dull moment when he was around. He had such a positive impact on so many peoples’ lives. Scooter gave the best hugs. He will be loved, cherished, and carried in our hearts forever.

Scooter was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Guy “Pop” and Linda “Grandma” Ritchie; and his maternal grandparents, Earl B. “Pap” Woods, and Margaret E. “Granny” Conrad Woods.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Young Ritchie; two daughters, Kayleighia and Fiah Ritchie; his father, Bill Ritchie and wife Isabell; his mother, Shirley Morgan and husband Michael; three siblings, Guy Ritchie and wife Danielle, Shayla Ramsey and husband Matt, and Leah Shook; two nephews, Garrett Ramsey and Wyatt Ritchie; and numerous friends that he considered family.
