Brian McAdoo, 64, of Pampa, passed from life to Eternal Life on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his home in Pampa. Brian was born on January 3, 1960 in Stamford, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Esther Hildenbrand McAdoo.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Erickson, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Brian was a graduate of Pampa High School and lived much of his life in Pampa where he applied his skills as a welder, cabinet maker and wood worker. Brian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church who loved to cook on his smoker. Each year Brian would cook hundreds of briskets for the annual Big Z fundraiser and was renowned for the quality of the meat he smoked. Brian was an incredibly talented artist and made beautiful jewelry, knives, and bows. He was also a very gifted carpenter. Brian also enjoyed gardening and hunting.
Brian is survived by sister, Terri McAdoo Tonne and husband David of Edmond, Oklahoma; nieces, Rachel Jung of Midland Texas, Rebecca Demel of Van Alstyne Texas; nephews, Michael Tonne of Wink Texas and Ethan Tonne of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brian was blessed with 10 exceptional great-nieces and nephews, Alec Jung, Landry Jung, Ainsley Demel, Bennett Demel, Taetum Demel, Charleigh Demel, Jacob Tonne, Tyler Tonne, Levi Tonne, and Hunter Tonne.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 1200 N. Duncan Street, Pampa, Texas, 79065.
