Byron K. Moore, 77, of White Deer, passed away December 5, 2017 in White Deer. Memorial graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2017, at White Deer Cemetery, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Moore was born April 8, 1940 in Amarillo to Hortense and M. K. Moore. He married Pam Mitchell on February 5, 1960 in Bushland. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2000. He had been a resident of the White Deer and Borger communities since 1969. He farmed for nine years when he moved to White Deer. Byron worked for several years as foreman for Hutchinson County before going to work for White Deer ISD, retiring after 14 years of service. He loved to garden with good friends, and he had maintained two large gardens since 2004. Survivors include three daughters, Tracy Collier of White Deer, Linda Moore and husband Wesley Leach of Borger, and Kerry Martin and husband David of White Deer; six grandchildren, Beth Collier, Meghan Collier, Tommy Webb, Tyler Martin, Courtney Oxley and Brighton Leach; two great grandchildren, Quinn Oxley and Emory Martin; a sister, Gail Milhoan and husband Jim of Ochala, Florida; and a brother, Dale Moore and wife Viola of Galveston. He was preceded in death by a sister Earlene Armstrong; and two grandchildren, Sonora Leach and Chord Leach.
