Mrs. Gage was born December 8, 1957 in Paris, Texas to Billy and Dorothy Hoover. Carol moved to Amarillo 16 years ago from Pampa. In April, Carol and David celebrated 40 years of marriage. She had a love for the Lord and her family. God came first, then Jesus, then family. She had a special bond with her granddaughter Emma. Carol did everything she could to spoil her and was looking forward to graduating. She was a cancer survivor and would tell you she was healed by the power of God. Her car radio stayed on KLOVE, she loved listening to gospel music and enjoyed classic rock. Carol would run around with her car doing things for others as well as herself. Years ago, she drove an 18-wheeler, traveling over 48 states. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, David Gage of the home; three daughters, Shawnda Beard, Sharon Gage and partner Johnna Rillema, and Shelly Buckaloo all of Amarillo; son, Billy Gage and wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her mother, Dorothy Hoover of Amarillo; special cousin, Debbie Willhite of Roxton; ten grandchildren, Antwan, Josslyn, Emma, Cyrus, Jordan, Faith, Kairlene, Alieha, Elizabeth, and Kaylie.
