Carolyn Yvette Hess, 56, of Lefors, passed away February 8, 2018 in Lefors.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Ken Houston, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lefors, officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mrs. Hess was born March 8, 1961 in Ajo, Arizona and was a graduate of Silver City High School. She had been a resident of Lefors since 1980, and married Clarence “Bud” Hess, Jr. on March 26, 1990. Carolyn loved bowling, and was a US Junior Olympic Bowling coach for eleven years. She was a member of the Lefors Volunteer Fire Department for several years. Carolyn loved to do arts and crafts, painting and gardening, especially her cactus garden. She enjoyed fishing and camping at Lake Fryer with her family. Her family was her life and she loved spending time with them.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Hess of the home; two daughters, Amy Miller and husband Fred of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rainy Hess of Lefors; two sons, Nick Hess and Cody Hess, both of Lefors; three grandchildren, Garrett Scroggins, Nadia Miller and Quinn Miller; and two brothers, Allan McGuffin and wife Carol of Canyon, and Don McGuffin and wife Debbie of DeQueen, Arkansas. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lowanda McGuffin.
