Carolyn Ann Wilson, 76, of Pampa, passed away on October 17, 2017 in Pampa with her loving family by her side. Celebration of Life services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 20, 2017 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Jimmye Cole, pastor of First Nazarene Church of Pampa, officiating. Entombment will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Carolyn was born on March 18, 1941 in Alva, Oklahoma to Wilma and Frank Riley. Carolyn was raised in Alva and attended school and graduated from Alva High School in 1958. After graduating high school, she enrolled in college where she would meet the love of her life Ralph at a freshman orientation school dance. She and Ralph would fall in love soon after and they would later wed on October 11, 1960. This year they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Carolyn and her family would have to relocate several times through Ralph’s work; they would live in various places that included Hugoton, Kansas, Guymon, Oklahoma, and Tonganoxie, Kansas. Eventually they would return to Pampa in 1978 where they resided ever since. Carolyn was a talented woman who could excel at all crafts, this included: crocheting, quilting, and many others. She used this talent to open her own store called Carolyn’s Quilts. But being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her the most pride. Mrs. Wilson will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Frank Riley, granddaughter, Sarrah Ennis, her brother-in-law, Gary Keltner and by her son-in-law, Judge Woodruff. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Wilson of the home, her two daughters, Pam Woodruff of Pampa, Tamara Sperry and husband David of Skellytown; her only son, Joe Wilson, Sr. and wife Lisa of Pampa; by her sister, Jodi Keltner of Wichita, Kansas; by her sixteen grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Riley, Samantha, Morgan, Tandy, Joshua, Shylynna, Jacob, Jadon, Chris, Joe, Jr., Zach, Jessica and Lauren; and by her twenty great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Texas Oncology, Amarillo Cancer Center, 1000 S. Coulter, Suite 100, Amarillo, Texas 79106. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
