Charles Joseph Marszal, 75, of White Deer, passed away on July 7, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church of White Deer with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Marszal was born September 2, 1941 in East Meadow, New York to Charles and Vida Marszal. Charles enlisted in the U. S. Navy at the age of 17, and was honorably discharged in 1962. In 1962, he met the love of his life, Susan Elaine Block, in Hempstead, New York; she preceded him in death on June 22, 1997. In 1965, he moved to LaPuente, California where he worked for Stone Containers Corp., as a quality control manager, for 36 years. After he retired, he moved to White Deer to be close to his son. Charles loved to ride his Harley and loved his three furry companions, Jimmy, Bam Bam, and Chico. He was also a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Sandra Ann Marszal. Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Marszal; son, Charles Marszal and wife Ofelia of White Deer; four grandchildren, Michaelene, Desiree, Michael, and Stephen; 13 great grandchildren and several surrogate grandchildren in Texas.
