Chrisie was born on November 9, 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Ron and Beverly LaVerne Laufer. Her family moved to Florida when she was 1, and they moved to the Texas Panhandle in 1992 when Chrisie was 7. She attended schools in Panhandle and was homeschooled in high school, earning her GED in 2003. Soon after school, Chrisie became a mom and a homemaker. She loved being with her girls and enjoyed taking care of things at home.
In Panhandle and the surrounding areas, Chrisie was known as the lady that did facepainting. She was called to all kinds of events to face paint, including birthday parties, Vacation Bible Schools, and community get togethers. In 2014, she began her career in the food industry, first starting at Dairy Queen in Panhandle. She was most recently employed at Sonic in Panhandle.
Chrisie was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She was TT to her nieces and nephews and was referred to as the “fun aunt”. She had a beautiful smile that lit up the room. Chrisie also enjoyed shopping any time she could. She was a fighter for the last 18 years, dealing with her heart condition. She had rough days from time to time, but she never let that keep her down. Chrisie was a joy to be around, and she will be missed by so many.
Chrisie is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Laufer; and her maternal grandmother, Beatrice LaVerne Wilson.
She is survived by her father, Ron Laufer and wife Cheryl of Pampa; two daughters, Cambrie and Chloe Philips, both of White Deer; brother, Rick Newport and wife Erin of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Shannon Coffee and husband Adam of Borger, and Veronica Reigelman and husband Grant of Norwalk, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Christine Laufer of Glendale, Arizona; numerous step brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and two beloved cats, Charlotte and Roselyn.
