Christine Knight

Christine Knight, 85, of Pampa met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, December 1, 2017. Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 4, 2017, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Keith Feerer, pastor of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Christine was born July 24, 1932 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Guy and Elizabeth Waldroop on the family’s farm where she lived until her marriage to Johnnie Knight. They moved to Pampa in 1960. Christine worked for Southwestern Bell as a frame attendant retiring in 1992 after 32 years. After retirement she continued her love of working in her yard and garden. Christine also loved spending time attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a devoted member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ volunteering to fix and serve bereavement meals. Christine was a volunteer for Pampa Meals on Wheels. Survivors include two sons, Ted Knight of Lake Jackson and Robert Knight and wife Kathleen of Highland Village; three daughters, Connie Hudson and husband Phil of Highland Village, Katherine Knight of Amarillo and Victoria Johnson of Pampa; five grandchildren, Dejah Rouse and husband Jeff, Colby Hudson and wife Ashley, Sabrina Barraza and husband Edgar, Stacey Brocksmith and husband J.T., Bradley Johnson and wife Jessica; six great grandchildren, Gunner, Caleb, Cayden, Savannah, Makenzie and Addison; one sister, Ava Beth Thompson; two brothers, D.R. Waldroop and Raymond Waldroop.
