Claro Hernandez Guerra, 65, of Pampa passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Amarillo.
Rosary services will be 7:15 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.
Mass will be said at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with Rev. Taylor Elzner, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Guerra was born July 1, 1954 in El Sauz, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to Pampa in 1972. He worked a few years at the meat packing plant where he met his wife, Gloria Estrada. He became a welder and worked for Curtis Well Service most of his career and later retired from Top O’ Texas Oilfield. Claro enjoyed spending time raising livestock on his small ranch and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.
Claro was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Cornelia Guerra, a brother, Jesus Guerra, and a sister Lucy Murgado.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Guerra Ramos and husband Raul of Pampa; two sons, Daniel Guerra and wife Amy of Amarillo and Aaron Guerra and wife Norma of Pampa; six sisters, Bertha Arreola and husband Juan of Pampa, Lupe Pena and husband Jesus of Pampa, Tere Keller and husband Leo of Pampa, Carmen Gonzalez and husband Oscar of El Paso, Rutilia Guerra of Juarez, Mexico, and Mickey Lopez and husband Robert of El Paso; two brothers, Cornelio Guerra of Juarez, Mexico and Jesus T. Guerra and wife Patty of El Paso; and six grandchildren, Mathew Luna, Mya Ramos, Tayler Guerra, Heiley Guerra, Zachary Guerra, and Joshua Guerra.
