Clifford Lee "Papa" Wilson

CLIFFORD LEE WILSON, 65 of Pampa, bid this world a fond farewell on Saturday May 26, 2018, in Pampa; we bless God for a life well-lived.


Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ardmore, OK. Mr. Wilson will lie in state at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors, from 10:00 AM Tuesday May 29, 2018 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday May 30, 2018. On Friday June 1, 2018 Clifford will lie in state at Dawson-Dillard-Kirk Funeral Home in Ardmore. Local arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Clifford Lee Wilson was born on June 20, 1952, to Carlene Wilson in Ardmore, Oklahoma.  He attended Dunbar Elementary and Douglass High School, where he played football and was active in the band. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1970.

Clifford continued his education at Grayson County College in Sherman, Texas.  He later enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.  After an honorable discharge, he began working in the oil field, ultimately retiring from Conoco Oil Company.

On August 1, 2005, Clifford married Molly Gonzales - the love of his life - in Pampa, Texas.

Those who met and knew Clifford, would never forget him, as he had an unforgettable sense of humor and commanding presence. He was known affectionately as "TRUKK", "TRAP" and "PAPA".  He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed telling 'tall tales' at different gatherings.  

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Molly, of the home; two daughters, Quardesa Osborne of Dallas, Texas Renae Johnson-Nash and husband Lionel of Arlington, Texas; two sons, Jamarious Osborne of Lawton, Oklahoma Chase Harris and wife Carly of Keller, Texas; his eight grandchildren,  Lovey and Jamarious Osborne, Jr., Charlee and Cash Harris, Aiden Rockmore, Baile and Zhane Johnson, and Raime Nash. His loving mother, Carlene Wilson, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; three sisters, Cloette Fields of Dallas, Texas, Madonna Edwards of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Sherry Wilson of Dallas, Texas; aunts Lorece Wilson of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Aretha Wilson of Wichita, Kansas; His "FavorITE" brother -in-law, Jessie Gonzales, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him so very much.
