Clifton E. Sandin, 85, of Pampa, passed away, March 14, 2021 in Pampa.
Memorial graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson, of First Baptist Church, officiating and Rev. Zackary Greer of First Baptist Church, assisting. Cremation and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Clifton was born on May 19, 1935 in Newman Grove, Nebraska to Esther and Alfred Sandin. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army. After his discharge, he moved to Colorado for several years. While living in Colorado, Clifton enjoyed spending time in the mountains always trying to get pictures of anything related to nature. Clifton eventually moved to Pampa and he worked in construction and roofing. Towards his retirement, he mowed lawns and served as a crossing guard at the Pampa Independent School District at the middle school for several years, a job that he enjoyed greatly. He attended First Baptist Church of Pampa. He will be missed by his family, friends, and church family.
Clifton was preceded in death by his parents; by three brothers, Elving Sandin, Wendal Sandin, and Dwight Sandin; and by a sister, Elvira Sandin Cohrs
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Capuano and husband Chad of Evans, CO, Donna Deese of Thornton, CO, and Diane Brown and husband Bill of Cheyenne, WY; two sons, Charles Sandin of Eugene, OR, and Doug Sandin and wife Jill of Greeley, CO; a brother, James Wesley Sandin of Brainerd, MN; a sister, Priscilla Sandin Pirkle of Chatsworth, CA; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of close friends.
