Cynthia Horton Meeks, 63, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Pampa.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Cynthia was born on July 13, 1959, in Pampa, to Lloyd Eugene and Shannon Ann Horton. She grew up in Pampa and attended school in Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1977. After high school, Cynthia enrolled at Frank Phillips College in Borger. She received her cosmetology degree a couple of years later and worked at a beauty shop in Pampa. Cynthia also worked as a waitress and was a caretaker for the elderly for many years.
Although Cynthia had several jobs through her life, her favorite one was working as a housewife and raising her kids. She loved them and her grandkids and great-grandkids dearly. Any chance she could, Cynthia was spending time with her family. One grandchild in particular, Savanna, held a special place in her life. She had raised Savanna since she was very young and did anything for her. Cynthia was a good and kind-hearted woman who loved life and will be missed by her friends and family.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Michael Horton; and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by her four children, Pete Perez of Lubbock, Patricia Ramirez of Florida, Deana Vargas of Mineral Wells, and Josue Vargas of Texas; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Horton and wife Carla of Panhandle; sister, Sherry Bolch and fiancé Jack Farris of Pampa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
