Daniel Clark

June 18, 1964 — February 24, 2024

Miami

Daniel Taylor Clark, 59, of Miami, passed away on February 24, 2024, in Miami.

Celebration of life memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Monty Wheeler, a family friend, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Daniel was born on June 18, 1964, in Pampa to Robert and Ann Clark. As a young boy he shared childhood experiences living in Austin and Miami and later graduating from Miami High School. After graduating, he

earned a certificate in wildlife biology.

Daniel started a career in agriculture specializing in wildlife biology. In his line of work, he got to live an adventurous life working at many local ranches, but his tenure at the Whiskey Canyon Ranch in Bosque County brought him his most special ranching memories.

Daniel’s adventures did not end with his conservation work, he made his way to the Caribbean where he lived for several years enjoying the sun, water, and the beach. Eventually, he came back to Miami to be closer to family. He had varied interests that included being on the ocean, wildlife conservation, traveling, and always being kind to people and animals. His love for passing on the history of his family to others was another point of joy in his life.

Daniel will be remembered as an ornery and free-spirited man who loved to help people and who made sure everyone was happy and had a smile on their face. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Johnson; and a brother, Doug Clark.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Amber Clark of Hillsboro; father, Robert Clark of Miami; stepsister, Jennifer Wheeler and husband Kevin of Miami; four nieces, Ashley McKinney, Allie Leal, Shawree Wheeler, Bailee Benavides; a nephew Kyle Wheeler; and other extended family members.
