After high school, she met Carroll Clark and they wed on June 4, 1955. They later moved to Pampa in 1979 with Carroll’s work. In 1986 they opened Clark’s Propane which they both owned and operated until their retirement in 1998. They shared 57 blissful years before he preceded her in death on October 31, 2012.

She volunteered at Good Sam’s, and Pampa Celebration of Lights from 1992 to 2008, and was a dedicated member and servant at Central Baptist Church. She also enjoyed working at the local election office. Danita was a very good cook whether it was for her church or family, and she always made the best tasting and most beautiful pies. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and taking care of herself by practicing Yoga. As a member of the Cherokee Nation, she was proud of her heritage and the strong Cherokee women who went before her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and church.
