Danny Floyd Walker, 78, of Maricopa, AZ, and formerly of Pampa, passed away on November 21, 2024, in Chandler, AZ.
Celebration of life services for Danny will be 10:00 AM, Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Bo Williams of Trinity Fellowship on Willow Creek, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Danny was born on August 9, 1946, in Pampa to Floyd and Marge Walker. He grew up and attended school in Pampa. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, honorably serving till his discharge. During his service, he married his first wife, and they had their two sons, Cody and Shane. After his military service, he returned home to help with the Walker Drilling Company, his family’s business, for several years.
Later, Danny met Sonia Rodriguez in Pampa, and they married on February 29, 2000. They blended their two families and had their own child, Brandon, during this marriage. Eventually, they moved to Arizona to start a new life. Danny was passionate about cars, in his view, the faster- the better. He was a fun-loving and jovial man who was typically the center of attention, but he made sure everyone around him was having a good time and a laugh. Danny will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who often put others before himself.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a son, Shane Walker.
Danny is survived by his wife, Sonia Walker of the home; children, Cody Walker and wife, Cynthia of Amarillo, Brandon Walker and wife, Jenny of Maricopa, Arizona, Angelica Bergeski and husband, Steve of Amarillo, Rigoberto Reynoso of Maricopa, Arizona, and David Castellon and wife, Paige of Amarillo; sister, Sheridan Harnly of Pampa; 11 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to donate to a charity of your choice in Danny’s memory.
