Darlene Drinnon, 79, of Pampa, died July 11, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Rev. Rodney Weatherly, pastor, and Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at Cheyenne Cemetery in Cheyenne, Oklahoma under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Drinnon was born February 25, 1938 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1956. She married T. C. Drinnon on March 24, 1956 in Sayre, Oklahoma. They moved to Pampa in 1962. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2017. Darlene worked for the Amarillo Federal Credit Union in Pampa for several years. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church for many years before moving her membership to Cornerstone Baptist Church. Darlene loved to work jigsaw puzzles. She was a huge OU fan and was very patriotic, but most of all, she loved her family and being a “Mema” to her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Gayla Summers and husband Don of Pampa; two sons, Tylor Drinnon and wife Stephanie of Sunray and Troy Drinnon and wife Sherrie of Pampa; five grandchildren, Tausha Robinson and husband Torrey of Wylie, Amy Acosta of Mustang, Oklahoma, Jerrod Drinnon and wife Autumn of Lubbock, Bridget Holman and husband Justin of Pampa, and Robert Underwood and wife Nicole of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren, Isaiah Robinson, Donald Underwood, Ashlynn Robinson, Rebekah Underwood, Taylor Acosta, Cruson Drinnon and Easton Holman; and a sister, Janelle Messamore of Nebo, Kentucky. Darlene was also preceded in death by two brothers, Derald Hunt and Raymond Hunt; two sisters, Sandra Morrison and Deloris Hunt; and a granddaughter, Trinidee Underwood.
