David Gee, 58, of Lefors, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 in Wheeler.
A celebration of David’s life will at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Lefors Church of Christ with Minister James Gee, David’s brother, officiating. Cremation and Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
David was born on May 6, 1965 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Gene and Verneice Hatcher Gee. He was raised in Lefors and was a 1984 graduate of Lefors High School. After graduation, David worked harvesting wheat before becoming an industrial mechanic. He later became a welder and continued welding for many years until his passing.
David enjoyed building race cars and spending time with his family. He was an excellent welder and could build anything asked of him. David loved nothing more than his mom. He was incredibly ornery and enjoyed giving his family a hard time.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Kevin Howe.
He is survived by his 3 children, Jenna Gee and husband Dustin Phillips of Livingston, Cody Gee and wife Desirea Martinez of Hobbs, New Mexico, Brittney Gee and husband Ryan Davis of Baytown; one stepson, Nathan McMahan and wife Briana of Hobbs, New Mexico; two siblings, Michella Howe and James Gee and wife Jacque, all of Lefors; nine grandchildren, Landon, Mina, Cash, Memphis, Ryker, Zalaya, Tristin, Conner, and Jackson; two uncles, Jack Hatcher of Wheeler and Junior Hatcher and wife Ann of Fayetteville, North Carolina; his significant other, Theresa Howell; three nieces, Courtney, Christina, and Jade; and numerous cousins.
