David Howard, 57, of Lefors, passed away February 5, 2019 in Lefors.

David was born January 31, 1962 in Austin to Don and Jane Howard. He was a Judson High School graduate in San Antonio and attended the University of Texas where he studied geology. David married Regina Bell in January of 1991 at his parents’ home in Universal City. He worked in construction, working on the prison in Three Rivers. He was a welder at IRI and was a trucker hauling crude oil. David was a member of First Baptist Church in Lefors. He loved music, writing songs and playing guitar. He enjoyed collecting Bibles, but most of all, he loved being PaPa to his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Howard of the home; daughter, Stormy Young and husband Chad of Lefors; son, Monroe Howard of Lefors; his father, Don Howard of Universal City; a brother, Doug Howard of Seguin; and three grandsons, Archer, David and Truitt Young. David was preceded in death by a son, Dustin James Howard in 2015; and his mother, Jane Howard in 2016.
