Dawna married Bo Hearon in 1988 and they have continued to remain great friends. In 1988, Dawn enlisted in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. When she was discharged, they returned to the Texas Panhandle to be able to spend time with family and friends. She helped raise many of her nieces and nephews over the years. When she had time, she loved to travel. Panda, her dog, was so special to her and helped her through some of her tough times. Celebrate Recovery was an important part of her life, and she was so proud of her accomplishment.
