Deanna Baker, 78, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Pampa.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, and Rev. Rick Parnell, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Deanna was born July 26, 1943 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Lawrence and Bertha Good. She married Larry Baker on July 30, 1960 in Clayton, New Mexico. They lived in Perryton, Plainview, and Liberal, Kansas for several years before moving to Pampa in 1979. Deanna and Larry owned and operated Baker’s Western Specialty in Liberal, Kansas and she worked at Wayne’s Western Wear in Pampa from 1979 until 1988. They currently own Larry Baker Plumbing. Over the years, she was a beautician, floral designer, and a stay-at-home mom. Deanna was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. She loved following her children and grandchildren in all of their activities and just being around her family. Family gatherings and reunions were very special to her, and she always looked forward to them. She enjoyed collecting owls, clocks, and she has volunteered at Snak Pak 4 Kids for many years.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Beverly Good, Genell Galloway, and Shirley Phelps; 3 brothers, Allen Good, Skeet Good, and Gail Good.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of the home; 3 daughters, Kimberly King and husband Steve of Mustang, Oklahoma, Kelli Weaver and husband Rodney of Amarillo, and Kayla Parnell and husband Kyle of Pampa; brother, Gene Good of Lago Vista; 4 granddaughters, Kaylee Mangus and husband Josh of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Kirby Pantoja and husband Brian of Amarillo, Kara Weaver of Amarillo, and Karson Scarlett and husband Zachary of Pampa; grandson, Ky Parnell of Amarillo; 2 great grandsons, Logan Mangus and Lucas Mangus; and awaiting a great granddaughter in August; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
