Arlie “Deano” Boyd, 92, of Pampa, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Pampa.

Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jim Sinyard of the Carpenters’ Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, Friday at the funeral home. 

Deano was born on April 25, 1932, in White Deer to William and Alta Boyd. He went to school in White Deer and lived in the Pampa area all his life. He married Patty Morgan on August 31, 1954, in Clayton, New Mexico. They shared over 57 years together and had six children before her passing on September 24, 2012. He worked as a machinist and material handler at both Cabot and IRI, retiring in 1994. 

Deano was a talented man musically, and he found great enjoyment playing guitar and the fiddle. He had a big heart, especially for any animals that were in need. He liked to stay active by working in his garden and taking long walks outdoors. Deano was a member of Briarwood Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; an infant son, Perry Dean Boyd; two adult sons, Timothy “Tim” Boyd, and Danny Boyd; a daughter, Pam Chamberlain; son-in-law, Darrel Martin; brothers, Jimmy Boyd, and Clyde Boyd.

Deano is survived by two daughters, Belinda Martin, and Samantha Aikin and husband Ricky; 11 grandchildren, David Doucette and Carrie, Jeremy Doucette and Amy, Chris Doucette and Sarah, Michelle Weatherly and husband Mike, Jacob Boyd, Phillip Watkins and Stephanie Thomas, Stormie Blain and husband Rick, Brittany Boyd, Kendall Radke and husband Robert, Kinley Fisk and husband Brendan, and Reece Aikin; 15 great-grandchildren, Tanner, Blake, Jacqueline, Emma, Garrett, Pratt, Haven, Mason, Caitlynne, Brooklyn, Drue, Rylee, Alexxis, Cooper, and Asher; four great-greatgrandchildren, Rhett, Nash, Layla, and Layton; and other extended family members.
