Deborah was born on October 8, 1959 in Amarillo to Nellie and Charles Shipley. She grew up and attended school in Pampa. Deborah worked in food service for many years. Deborah married Travis Berryman, Sr. and he later preceded her in death. After Travis’ passing, she married Jim Hanks in August of 1984 and they shared over 29 years together before he preceded her in death in 2013. Deborah found companionship once more when she met Sam Malone ten years ago and they have been side by side ever since. In her spare time, she like to play poker, a hobby she excelled at. Deborah was a big-hearted and considerate woman who liked to care for animals and others. To know Deborah was to love her and she will be greatly missed by all.

Her survivors include her husband, Sam Malone of the home; a son, Travis Berryman of Amarillo; a brother, Steve Hardin and wife Barbara, of Amarillo; two sisters, Linda K.
