Deborah Williams, 61, of Amarillo, passed away February 10, 2023 in Amarillo with her family by her side.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Pampa with Pastor Jim Sinyard, pastor of Carpenter’s Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Deborah was born on November 15, 1961 in Borger to Bobby and Jeanetta Stover. As a young girl her family moved often, living in several different towns and areas. Deborah married Wayne Williams on November 16, 1988. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2008.
Being a fearless woman, Deborah entered the male dominated plumbing industry. She took pride in her profession and the work she did. She obtained a Journeyman Plumber license and was awarded the outstanding graduate award. Deborah worked and lived in Houston for many years and was a member of the Plumbers Local 68 Union of Houston. She also had the honor to represent The Union at The Face of Women of the Plumbers of Houston as well as at the Women Build America conference. She was passionate about her career and tried to encourage other women who were interested in the profession.
Outside of work, Deborah liked to be with her family. She especially enjoyed game nights, either playing dominos or Pictionary and making her famous “Triple Threat” strawberry margaritas. Deborah also had a love for writing poetry. She loved all of her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a strong, hardworking woman who never met a stranger and who will be missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband.
Deborah is survived by her two daughters, Bobbie Krawietz and husband Ashton of Richmond, and Deidra Garcia of Amarillo; her son, Daniel Stover of Wichita Falls; three brothers, Randy Stover, and Bobby Stover, both of Pampa, and Robert Stover and wife Nita of Skellytown; grandchildren, Ayla, Henry, Peyton, and Dakota, all of Amarillo; special friends, Rick and Jen Persinger of Houston, Jamie Wallace of Houston, the Wheeler family in Amarillo, and the Redding family of Amarillo; and other extended family and friends.
