Deloris Raines, 87, of Pampa, passed away on June 15, 2018, in Pampa.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2018, at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Albert Maggard, pastor, officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Deloris was born Feb. 13, 1931 in Springfield, Colorado to John and Helen Harbert. She grew up in Campo, Colorado where she attended school and graduated from high school with honors as Valedictorian. In the mid 1970’s, she moved to Pampa. Deloris entered the retail business, working for Montgomery Ward’s for several years. She was a longtime member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Deloris’ passion was music, and she loved playing the piano for several churches, church camp meetings, and local nursing homes. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Roachelle and wife Renee of Hurst and Michael Ray Raines of Austin; five sisters, Delma Rodgers of Springfield, CO, Wilma Shaw and husband Ken of Campo, CO, Wanda Jenkins and husband Marvin of Bartlesville, OK, and LaVada Rodgers and husband Clyde of Campo, CO, and Mary Maggard and husband Albert of Pampa; two granddaughters, Misty Bell and husband Brandon of Austin, Angela Atkins and husband Jason of Fort Worth; a grandson, David Roachelle of Cleburne; and by four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Danny Harbert, and by a sister, LaVelda Tingleff.
