Dewayne Ray McBee, 48, of Skellytown, passed away on January 1, 2022 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Jim Fox, pastor at Howardwick Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Dewayne was born on July 3, 1973 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Don and Mary White McBee. He moved with his family to Skellytown in 1976. Dewayne was a handyman and a jack of all trades, around Skellytown, most of his life. He worked at Harrah’s for the last few years. Dewayne really loved people and would help anyone that he could.
He was preceded in death by his father, Silas McBee; his maternal and paternal grandparents; an infant sister; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dewayne is survived by his daughter, Caci Blodgett and husband Kyler of Loveland, Colorado; his mother, Mary McBee of Skellytown; two brothers, James McBee of Skellytown and Silas Don McBee of Twentynine Palms, California; two sisters, Angel Kirkland and husband Hunter of Panhandle and Dallas McBee of Canyon; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cousins. He will be greatly missed by his pets, Toby, Bally, and Puddles.
