Dolores J. Gardner, 77, of Pampa, died Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Pampa.Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Keith Feerer, pastor of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Gardner was born on June 4, 1940 in Ranger to Earvin and Lillian Ivy. She graduated from Artesia High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University. Dolores married Jerry Gardner on August 27, 1960 in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2015. She was a resident of Pampa since 1974. She was active in Women’s Club, Book Club and worked in the clothing room at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. Every year she would dress up as Mrs. Claus for Coronado Center. Dolores was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ.Survivors include 2 sons, Torrey Gardner of Lubbock and Wade Gardner and wife Tana of Big Lake; a son in Christ, Shawn Fuller of Lubbock; a brother, Larry Ivy of Gilbert, Arizona; her mother, Lillian Ivy of Gilbert, Arizona; three grandchildren, Chance Gardner of Midland, Sydney Gardner of Rankin and Trenton Gardner of Abilene.Memorials may be made to High Plains Children’s Home, PO Box 7448, Amarillo, Texas 79114 and Children’s Home of Lubbock, PO Box 2824, Lubbock, Texas 79408.
