Donald R. “Donnie” Robinson, 72, of Pampa, passed away September 2, 2017 in Pampa. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with Franklin Rigney, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Donnie Robinson was born on September 9, 1944 in Marin County, California to Donald V. and Lena Robinson. As an infant his family would move back to Pampa where he would attend school and reside ever since. Donnie would later meet then marry O’ Nita Williams on September 4, 1976 in Skellytown. He worked as a printer for Fugate printing for 35 years. After retiring from printing, Donnie entered the oil & gas industry where he worked for Independent and Spradling drilling. Donnie was a Lutheran. When he wasn’t working, Donnie like to bowl but what he loved most was hunting and fishing with his grandsons. Donnie will be greatly missed by family and friends. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Teckla Robinson. The family’s honorary pallbearers will be, Andrew Mills, Greg Mills, Ricky Ott, Ben Tipps, Rick Hefner, and Jimmie Adams. The family would like to extend appreciation to nurses, Diane, Pam, Terri, Connie and the entire staff of BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their loving care of Donnie. Survivors include his wife, O’Nita Robinson of the home; by his three daughters, Dawnette McNaughton and husband Jay of Houston, Mechille Mills and husband David of Stinnett, and Dana Lane and husband Dillard of Amarillo; by his son, Jimmie Robinson and wife KJ of Canyon; by his sister, Dixie Mobley and husband Ray of Marble Falls; by his five grandsons, Cory Clinton of Houston, Andrew Mills and wife Dannett of Canyon Lake, Greg Mills and wife Ariel of Stinnett, Daniel White and Tyler White both of Canyon; by his three granddaughters, Cheyenne McNaughton of Houston, Shelby Robinson and McKenzie Robinson, both of Amarillo; by 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Memorials can be made to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
