Doris Cummings Nash, 83, of Pampa passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Pampa.
Private family services will be 2:00 PM on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with John Curry officiating. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Livestreaming will be available at www.carmichael-whatley.com/page/live-streaming.
Doris was born on January 26, 1937 in Wellington to James Frederick and Willie Mona Johnson Cummings. She attended school in Quail, where she was the Quail High School Queen. Doris moved to Pampa in 1967 and married Thomas Nash on June 18, 1970 in Panhandle. She enjoyed sewing and could make an amazing pecan pie. However, what Doris loved most was spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Billy Fred Cummings.
She is survived by her son, Darryl Burney of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Jeanne Horton and husband Rusty of Pampa and Janice Berry and husband Wes of Sumrall, MS; 2 sisters, Cathy Driver and husband Bill and Sharon Risley and husband Jerry; 5 brothers, Ronald Cummings and wife Marie, Travis Cummings and wife Pam, John Cummings, Gary Cummings, and Bob Cummings and wife Mandy; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 5410 Bell St #411, Amarillo, TX 79109.
