Dorthia Jean Fish Morgan, 88, of Pampa, passed away peacefully at the home she lived in with her youngest son, Michael Morgan on Monday, November 11, 2024.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Alanreed Cemetery.
Dorthia was born on June 24, 1936, at the home of her mother and father (Juanita Alta and Noble Lee Fish). She married Robert Wayne Morgan on April 15, 1953, and they raised three children in Amarillo, Tx until they moved to Houston, Tx where they gained another son by choice and love of their hearts.
Dorthia also had so many pets which were always her passion. She was “mom” to many dogs, cats, rabbits, an iguana, and guinea pigs. She also held many jobs in her lifetime, but her main passion was to be Mom to anyone who needed her. She and Wayne changed many young lives so they could grow to be responsible adult men and women.
Dorthia is preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Noble Fish; sisters, Joyce Evelyn Sanders (husband Don Sanders lives in Grey county), and Alta Lee Turner.
Dorthia Jean is survived by one daughter, Connie Jean Hollingsworth and her husband David Hollingsworth; and one granddaughter, Katlyn Jean Hollingsworth and her husband Brian Collins; three sons, Joseph Wayne Morgan, Michael David Morgan and Raymon Estell Strange; sister, Cathryn Ann Jameson (husband Glenn Jameson); and brother, Noble Ray Fish (better known as Sonny to family members).
Memorial donations can be made to any local animal rescue or shelter.
