Dr. Alexander was born August 31, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Jessie Franklin and Lucy Margaret Wilcox Alexander. He married Sarah Nell White on June 9, 1972 in Pampa. Dr. Alexander owned and operated his own dental practice for 53 years, from 1961 until 2013. He truly loved his work and cared about his patients and office staff. He was a man of integrity, was loyal, and dependable. He was an active member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church where he was a junior warden and flipped many pancakes over the years at the Pancake Supper. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1963, moving to Round Rock in 2013. Jim loved to snow ski, play golf with his golf buddies, and to visit the family cabin in Eagle’s Nest, NM. He also loved spending time with friends and family. Jim was quite the character, known for his colorful vocabulary and quick wit. Whether hunting/fishing or at a church function, his personality never varied. No one could walk away from an encounter with Jim without being touched by his humor and authentic spirit.
