Elaine Burkholder Elliff

Elaine Burkholder Elliff, 71, of Pampa, passed away August 5, 2018 in Amarillo.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Bill Burkholder, Elaine’s brother, and Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Lane, pastor of Community Crossroads Church of White Deer, officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Elaine was born December 30, 1946 in Borger to Charles and Ida May Burkholder. She graduated from Stinnett High School in 1964 as the valedictorian. Elaine had been a resident of Pampa most of her life. She married Richard N. Elliff in 1994. Elaine and Richard worked in the glass business in the Pampa area for many years. She retired in 2010 when they sold Pampa Glass after six years of ownership. She was a Methodist. Elaine loved quilting, reading, playing games and family gatherings. She enjoyed water aerobics where she made wonderful friendships, and she loved spending time with her family and especially being “Meme” to her grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Alambar in 2006; a sister, Rosa Whitehead; and a brother, Charles Burkholder.

Survivors include her husband, Richard N. Elliff of the home; a daughter, Theresa Briscoe and Lee Tschetter of Casper, Wyoming, stepson, Matt Elliff and wife Ginny of Pampa; stepdaughter, Laura Harrell and husband Chris of Amarillo; her brother, Bill Burkholder and wife Dee Ann of Miami; nine grandchildren, Cheryl Wilson and husband Lee, Tyler Alexander, Jaylin Tafoya and husband Estevan, Seger Briscoe, Amie Alambar, Rhyan Elliff, Rhett Elliff, Riley Elliff, and Hayden Harrell; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
