Eliceo “Frito” Rivera, 73, of Pampa, passed away on February 21, 2025, at home.
Liturgy of the word services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The Rosary service will be recited at 5:00 PM, on Thursday, at the funeral home.
Eliceo was born on May 16, 1951 in Michoacan, Mexico to Gil and Maria Rivera. He grew up and attended school in Mexico. Eliceo would move to the United States in 1978 and settled in Pampa to help raise his family. He entered the oil and gas industry where he specialized in pipeline work. Eliceo worked for Rice, Venable, and Williams Welding, among others.
He met his second wife, Beatrice, and they married on February 14, 2019, where they found love and blended two great families. Eliceo loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening. He was an active man, who liked to take on new projects to stay busy and make money on the side. He will be remembered as a loving and giving man who always made sure he was able to help anyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Eliceo Rivera, Jr., Simon Rivera, and Robert Rivera; and by several siblings.
Eliceo is survived by his wife, Beatrice Rivera of the home; four daughters, Priscella Osby, Melissa Allison and husband Kevin, Mary Carrasco and husband Luis, all of Amarillo, and Margaret Arellano of Houston; son, Daniel Rivera and partner Shelby Huff, both of Pampa; three stepdaughters, Cathy Mendoza and husband Fernando, Mony Munoz and husband David, Jessi Miranda and husband Enrique, all of Pampa; stepson, Lionel Rodriguez and wife Ana of Pampa; three granddaughters, Hope Conner and husband Zack of Italy, Alicia Allison, and Abigail Allison, both of Amarillo; two grandsons, Ryan Osby and Tyriek Osby, both of Amarillo; six greatgrandchildren; and nine step grandchildren; and other extended family.
